We will be staying one night in Port Angeles, after we've finished the western part of ONP and will explore Hurricane Ridge the following morning. I've learned on here that Olympic Lodge seems to be the most recommended option in PA.
Because we are traveling with 3 boys (11, 10, and 3.5), we usually try to get 2-room suites so we can spread out and get everybody to sleep easier. I found that the Downtown Hotel has such rooms, but I see that street noise there is so bad that I think we'll pass. I also found the Royal Victorian, which looks like a cheap motel, but has the room design we prefer for $33 less than Olympic Lodge is charging for a basic 2 queen room without a view (I think their rates went up since I started my search). Are we missing out on anything by not staying at the Olympic Lodge, or is the Royal Victorian so inferior in terms of quality and location that it's not worth the extra space? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
