 Vulcano Hotel

Hi, Husband and myself off to this hotel in July for 2 weeks. Anyone been that can tell us things about it, good or bad? Whats the food like? and is it true that in the height of summer when it is boiling hot- I hope! : D - that the men have to wear long trousers to be allowed in for the evening meal? My hubby usually wears 3/4 lengths at night when on holiday, will this be ok?

Thanks in advance for any info. M.

My neighbour regularly stays at this hotel and can't praise the food enough. I don't think you need to have any concerns on this.

Can't help with the dress code though, but enjoy.

I think most hotels do like people people to dress for evening meal ,mostly smart casual are accepted which for men "Long trousers" also include Denims ,chinos ,linen etc .Just think in the main its to stop people wearing "Sports /Beach wear" .......

Vulcano is sited in what i think is the better area of PDLA ,with the fantastic Playa Las Vistas is close by along with the Safari Shopping Centre only a short stroll away .Also lots of nice places to eat and drink close by

Height of the summer ...you dont say when you are going but heres an idea of a couple of months that i tend to go in .June 26/30 degrees .september 28/34 degrees based on our holidays 2010 .July 2011 my wife went on her own and it was a real mixed bag some cool days ,some overcast .....

I have stayed in Arona Gran which like Vulcano is a Spring Hotel. Men definitely had to wear long trousers for dinner. One evening as we arrived at the dining room somebody was refused entry and sent away to change into long trousers. I can only imagine the same policy would exist at Vulcano.

My husband & I have been to The Vulcano twice, December 2011 and December 2010. It is mainly adult only and not really geared for children. The food is buffet style and very good with a huge choice for breakfast and dinner. I would advise your husband that long trousers would be expected as the normal dress code for dinner. My husband wore black jeans for dinner and there was no problem. Smart casual is the norm. I think the hotel is great with good food and very polite and helpful staff. Enjoy!

yes long pants are must for gents, you can wear jeans if they are smart, just takes 2minutes to change after the evening meal..
