Hi, staying at La Siesta for 7 nights in February with our 3-year old. Could anyone advise me of any bars or restaurants which would be suitable to have a few drinks and something to eat, with something to keep a hyperactive 3-year old entertained. Any suggestions or advice welcome, thanks.
Hi, local people love children of all ages, so most will cater for children in bars and restaurants. Don't be afraid to ask for a spare plate so as to share food. You may want to take a colouring book or favorite toy with you, as service can be slow by UK standards.
There are some lovely children's shops, so leave some room in your case.

Well respected member Aguilas has given you the link to VIVOS ,its a fantastic place ,Marcs a fantastic singer .....The Crazy Golf is great for both young and old alike ,so something for you all to enjoy together .
In the Safari Centre ,your little one may like "The Dancing Fountains and Light Display (free) " on an evening with lots of OOOHs and AAAAHs from watchers ,whilst taking in the shops ......
Monkey Park ,in a morning is great fun a short taxi ride to the back of Los Cristianos ...interactive fun with some of the little chaps there whilst others are in enclosures ,take a bit of fruit they will be your friend .Best in a morning as they do become less active in the heat of the afternoon sun .
And the play area at the back of the Zentral Centre hotel on Aguilas's second link looks fantastic for the little one

As a previous poster has mentioned, children are widely welcome!
Vivo's is great, and also there is a little bar called Destiny's that is opposite the Playa Azul hotel - Turn right out of your hotel, Turn right just after Starco's and walk up past the Gala Hotel. It's next to a little supermarket and is family friendly, particularly if they like a little karaoke!
A lot of restaurants and bars have singers or music in the evenings. There are lots of chinese people walking round with tacky light up balls etc but the kids do like them!! There is a little arcade just along from the La Siesta - Turn right out of hotel and its by the Parque Santiago 1 or 2. Down the little walkway next to it is a bar called the Brewers droop where kids are welcome. They have a pool table, some arcade games and a Wii.
We also enjoyed the Monkey Park lots!! There is also an evening excursion to "Medieval Night" Great fun and food included. Lots of cheering on your knight etc!
