For me it would be either Bitacora or Vulcano ,the fantastic Playa las Vistas is only 10 mins at most stroll away .The excellent Safari Centre with its many shops (designers like Armani ,verace,La Coste ,Boss etc mixed in with shops like Zaras ,Springfield ,Stradavarios and many more ,plus various handbag and shoe shops to suit all price ranges ) The hotels have many choices of restaurants and bars to choose from .Along the sea front walk way ( marked in black and white on the map link below ) you can easily access the other resorts ,los cris is only 20 mins away .

Heres a map link emma ,so you can see where the hotels you have selected are sited ,allow 10 mins to cross each square

Not sure of your age group ,just be aware Vulcano does tend to have an older tourist during our winter months ,and before i get slated "Absolutely nothing wrong in that"

For all the reasons Oneleg has given it would be the Vulcano or the Bitacora but because of your age group go for the Bitacora.

We've just come back and i heard someone say that the vulcano hotel was gods waiting room.............. it caters for the older people.

Not stayed here but the bitacora hotel gets my parents vote.

I've stayed at the best tenerife and i like this hotel, all the above 3 are in the same good location.

I've also stayed at the las dalias but it is at the other end of the resort, but it's a nice hotel, for that area.

7. Re: Help!!!

weather ah the million dollar question.................but it will be warmer sunnier brighter.............and no work away from home.......x

I like the gala hotel it is a small family run 4* hotel, but what puts people off is it's location, it is opposit starcos, but the hotel has triple glazing so no noise is heard, but some people do not like walking past this area, because of the pr's but they are ok yes even at my age they try to get us into the younger bars, but we just laugh with them and say no.

The location of the vulcano, bitacora and best hotel is excellent, well it is for me. Other hotels in this area are the la siesta and noeila sur, which are not bad priced, the zentral centeal sometimes comes up cheap, but this isn't a tourist hotel, it is a businessman's one, so rooms don't have a balcony.

Why not go s/c there are so many lovely restaurants around this area to eat at, a popular s/c accomm is parque santiago 3.

8. Re: Help!!!

Spending money would be a bit tight so going al is better but will eat out few times but not every night.

What's putting me off is the mixed reviews on the 3vulcano, bitacora and best hotel ad some not s nice photos..

Hi again Emma ,no matter which hotels you look at you will find mixed reviews.Often those who have a delayed flight from the start gives the hotel no choice ,others book 3 star yet feel they should get 5 star for their money .Remember though people will post bad reviews for whatever reason do so with intent ,where as the other way to look at it is why would anyone post a good review they really dont have too! But yes some do have real complaints which are marred by those looking for ways to get some form of discount from their holiday .sorry just my views

If you look at square D8 ,i think this is the best area and those on its borders and hol;ds some of the best hotels to suit your needs ...best beach ,best shopping ,bars to suit your mixed ages .Some are self catering apartments and others ,hotels that would offer AI.Heres a link to Parque La Paz (so when reading reviews it may come up as Parque "De " la paz but the "De" has been dropped by the hotel (?) so you know its the same hotel .Not stayed there myself but on going past and from various sites sounds and looks good

http://parquelapaz.com

My favourite hotel (sadly for me !)has now gone AI ,it was always offered as an option along with SC HB and B&B .Fantastic hotel but being further out 15 mins to the beach (nearest ) or 20/25 to Playa Las Vistas and the Safari Centre .It is sited in square E7 ,though its newer than the map its not shown ,but as you see Compestello golf it is built just to the left of it .Built just over 3 years ago ,originally as a time share but fully bought out by the hotel chain .The downside for some is there are no real views ,you maybe lucky to get a room overlooking the golf course but many UK tour operators dont have these rooms on their block bookings (though they dont seem to mention this ) but for me this is not an issue ,with a fantastic pool area and now with AI would anyone need views. Food has always been excellent so as AI has always been offered along with HB which the food was always the same for all ,i cant see that this would alter .

WEATHER ...we stayed June 2010 (last year Sept) we got one odd overcast day but still in the twenties ,the rest 28/30 degrees clear blue skys well, one cloud one day ,and talking of people who complain .A woman actually help Thompsons responsible because it sat above the hotel for 2 hours ,she also complained "Zaras Clothes did not have her size in a particular dress and what where Thompsons going to do about it !!!" so you can see theres so odd folk about on holiday LOL

Bitacora would get my vote - lovely for families and incredibly friendly.
