1. Re: Taxi Cost

Depends on what time you arrive as traffic can be really bad in the rushour times but expect to pay around the £15 mark for up to 4 people & luggage

for Jersey, St Helier

A cheaper way if there are only 1 or 2 of you is to get the bus from the airport which will cost £1.70p each or £1.10p each after 7pm. This will take you to the bus terminus at Liberation Station. Turn right towards the Royal Yacht (100 metres) and there will be taxis there, it will cost you about £5 to the Royal Hotel.

Depends how much luggage you've got and how many of you there are but you can do it for half the cost. I think taxis in Jersey are incredibly overpriced and I avoid them unless it is absolutely necessary. Amazingly, their rates have just gone up!!!

Jersey taxis rank at number 31 in the official league tables

phtm.co.uk/_includes/…obzodtGl.pdf

Private hire cabs are about 10% more but do not add any extras, if you have 4 people & luggage the rank taxis will add £1.80 from the airport so it will work out about the same

"Amazingly" fuel, insurance, gst, social security & many more items have just gone up.

I wonder if this happens in the real world !!!.

Please support the taxi trade.

When I went to the airport it was raining heavily so a door to door was best.

By bus you will walk although not far to the bus stop and then again from the bus station to the taxi rank lifting the bags around with you on and off the bus.

Get a taxi. Its £15 - big deal. Way more convenient and you can banter with the driver on the way.
