"The bar" 1 minute walk away with a balcony if the sun shines.

Main bar area 5 minutes walk away with pubs, hotel bars and clubs

There are 2 good traditional pubs in the Royal Square where you can sit outside with a drink or a meal.

For another authentic old pub, try the Prince of Wales near the fruit and meat market. Very atmospheric with a nice beer garden.

'The Bar' mentioned by the last poster is modern and fine if that's what you are looking for as is the Royal Yacht.

You could do worse than sit on the Terrace at the Radisson overlooking the Marina!

Exactly my sentiment - the Radisson terrace itself is a favourite of ours!

A five minute walk into town will provide you with plenty of pubs and bars to choose from. If it's a real pub you're after (rather than a bar or club) then try the Lamplighter on Mulcaster street or the Cock & Bottle and Pierson in Royal Square.

The Cock and Bottle great for a drink but boes not do late eating.

If you want eating as well try the Halkett.
