“ Deadwood Area in Sept. by Motorcycle ”

My wife and I will be renting a Harley in Rapid City and spending a few days in Deadwood September 12-17. Since packing will be a challenge, what kind of weather should I expect? We are thinking of taking day trips to the attractions in the area. We will be spending more time in town if the weather doesn't cooperate.

Weather in September is usually beautiful, warm days cooling off in the evenings. Temps highs average from the mid-60's to high 70's during the day dropping to the 40's in the evening. Quick thunderstorms are possible and occasionally a full day of rain. Rainy days can be quite chilly. Most days, though, are bright and sunny. September and October are my favorite time of the year in the Black Hills.

Sept 16 and 17 is also the Deadwood Jam in Deadwood!
