Springhill Suites or Marriott Courtyard for airport hotel?

We would like to use Marriott points, have a shuttle and leave our car for 8 nights. Any opinions of either of these hotels near the airport? Thanks!

I would probably call them directly to see what fly and park options they have. Maybe go with the one that will cost you the lowest points. The parking at CLT Airport is really cheap BTW, the long-term lots are only $4/day. Here is a link in case you need it: charmeck.org/CITY/…default.aspx

Thanks, we will call both hotels about parking there. Both require same amount of points. Which hotel versus airport parking would be safer for the car? We read somewhere that the neighborhood area around the airport is not safe. Is that correct or an exaggeration?

We also want to know which hotel is nicer? Thanks.

Forgot to mention that we are looking for a shuttle for convenience sake. Driving with a baby from Virginia, spending the night before the flight, and having a quick shuttle to the airport without doing the parking etc.

Courtyard is on Little Rock - not the safest, Springhill Suites close to I-85 & Billy Graham - slightly better. I think Long-term parking @ the airport is probably better than either of the 2....

BTW, the Long Term Parking is very close to the airport, but if you really want to park @ the hotel, then Springhill Suites would be better than Courtyard, IMO.
