 Golf Resort/March 9-16

Looking for a golf resort for a couple of days in the second week of March 2012. We are from Canada and would like to get a couple of rounds in early in the year. Hoping that Charlotte is far enough south for golf at that time. Any recommendations....don't need a 5 star resort but even a hotel that has golf packages would do. Would also like to explore the Charlotte area in the evening. Thanks,

Of course, the best, but also the most expensive would be the Ballantyne Resort:

Prabably the cheapest way would be to book a hotel close to a Municipal Golf Course (or Private that allows visitors) + hotel separately. But check hotels on TA; then contact the Manager of each selected hotels if they offer golf packages or cheaper hotel rates, often referred to as Manager's Specials...

It's quite warm right now & many people are on Golf Links close to my home....

It would help to have a car... www.charlottegolflinks.com/layout9.asp…

Do you have to come to Charlotte? Have you looked into Ashville (Grovepark Inn) or Pinehurst? Charlotte is nice, but would be a random golf resort destination...
