Watertown Forum: Rental Apartments

I'm not a local, but maybe I can help. (acutally live in Oklahoma) I can ask my son, he has been there since last September. Right now he is at West Point for some training for the next couple of months. Where his barracks are located, he doesn't get a signal for his cell phone, so I don't get to talk to him on a daily basis, but when I talk to him again, I'll try to get a little info for you.....

Thanks again for both of you for replying--haven't checked this site in a week or so...in answer to the OK inquiry--my son is at Ft. Sill. We can't wait for the pcs to Ft. Drum!

He likes Lawton...it's not home of course but the locals are very welcoming and he loves flying out of Lawsill.

How wonderful your son is at West Point! Thank him for his service to our country...all military are very special guys/gals and to be commmended.

And--Taewolf--thank you very very much for the pm. My son investigating availability at that location.

I have not had much luck online.. went to craigslist.com and found a few but..

I arrange to take a trip there July4-10.. need to get looking. I will take my laptop..so I will have a way to post If I hear or find anything.

Hi, again...pcs means that will be his permanent base--the lingo is a language all it's own. You'll pick it up. An excellent website is www.marriedtothearmy.com for anything/everything you may want to know now and may need to know in the future! It also has some interesting posts about all the bases from family members that have been there. Check it out...it's a wealth of info.

Hi, T....glad you like the website.

Have a great stay at the Microtel--you will be close to the maingate, in a more rural setting from what I remember, and about 20 minutes or so out of the city/restaurants/mall. Definitely try to check out Sackets..it's well worth the drive. Looking forward to hearing about your travels to Drum!
