I've got a whole list of places over on the East side of town :)

My family is holding mine in just a restaurant that has a side room. (In my hometown, not Rochester.) On a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, it's pretty easy to get a restaurant's side room.

What time of year are you looking at? You might want to consider parks.

Are you planning any party games or just a place to open gifts, enjoy a meal and have a get-together? If you're planning any party games you might want to rent out a room in a hotel, that way you don't have to worry about people watching or being noisy (I've asked for no games at mine!)

What is a side room? I tried to search a side room available and got nothing more than restaurants that I already look at before.

shower is in October so outside is out. Some parks has enclosed lodge but most booked until November. Also would like to keep it on a west side closer to Spencerport thats where most of the family live.

What I mean by a side room is like a private room, but not necessarily a banquet room.

The selection of a location for an event is so subjective, depending on what you value: style over food quality, price, ambience, etc. My bridal shower was at Mama Rosa's -- a very working class environment, but the food...ahhh....that was 13 years ago and I still remember how divine the chicken french was! Not to mention the gentleman who played the accordion came by and serenaded me.

Good luck and all the best to the bride and groom!

Thank you for all the suggestions. Found location at Greece senior community. My list is growing and it cost me almost same as the wedding.

Now have to find a good catering and that's it!
