My family and I just visited New Paltz for an apple picking trip last weekend. The farm we went to was called Dressel farms. We had a wonderful time. There was no entrance fee. The apples were 89 cents per pound and you could pick as much as you like. There were also some snacks that went on sale there, ice cream, drinks, pies, etc.

Not far from there, there is the New Paltz downtown, 2-3 miles away. There are many restaurants to choose from. We had lunch at a place called Yanni, Greek restaurant, and it was great.
