Las Vegas Forum: TR Short Getaway with the wife. 2/11-2-13

2/12. Woke up early and packed our stuff as I had received a great deal to move to Hotel 32 on the suday night portion. I left our bags and took tram next to Bellagio and then walked to Caesars to drop off wife for an hour massage as I went to sports book. We met up about 3 hours later to head to lunch. My wife said Qua was nice, but massage therapist was not the best of the best. She also felt the getting ready facilities would have more items to use to get beautified as she calls it.

Next we went to Joes Stone Crab at the Forum shops for lunch. We had a 1pm reservation. I had never been to those show before, what a walk to get to restaurant. We sat at a great indoor patio table as we people watched. We love stone crabs as we had been to Joes in Miami and it did not dissapoint in Vegas. We both got the $26 lunch special which included- 5 claws, hash browns, slaw and key line pie. Good price, service, spot and food.

Next we hiked Baltimore hotel and changed rooms to Hotel 32 (in case someone doesn't know it is the boutique hotel on the top floor 32 in the Monte Carlo)

Back to hotel not Baltimore darn autocorrect lol

We called and were met by a bellman at our room and given an access key to use in elevator slot to get to the 32nd floor. Once at the top we were given keys to our room, I had booked a loft suite but we got upgraded to a 1400-1600 sq foot Penthouse Suite.

Wow is all I can say. Huge bedroom, with 2 sixty inch tvs. 6 foot by 6 foot shower with changing led lights, 8 different water options and much more. A soaking tub, tv in mirror, on and on

Living area had huge couch, wetbar, bar and bar stools, etc.

Everything is amazing, everything is controlled by little computer touch screens including the shower. Top notch property.

With hotel 32 they have small snacks and appetizers from 4-8 with complimentary non alcoholic drinks as well as small continental breakfast all in a nice lounge with a great view

After settling in at Hotel 32 we did some more gambling, took amazing showers and headed out to our dinner reservation at Mon Ami at Paris. We sat outside. It was breezy but heat lamps helped. I had signed up for texting deals to be sent to me and we enjoyed a free appetizers and a light dinner.

Next I saw the Deuce picking people up right outside Paris and decided to take wife to Freemont via the Deuce. We boarded a super crowded bus and made it about 30 minutes in a hot stinky bus before getting off at Statosphere and caning back to Monte Carlo fr more gambling and hanging out. (the Deuce seems great, maybe just not on a crowded sat night, taking forever). Decided about 1ish to call it a night and was back to our palace.

Slept in a little until 830ish as last chance before heading back to reality of our screaming kids and work. I went to hotel 32 lounge and grabbed Oj, croissants, fruit and Danish and brought back to room as we got ready for last few hours.

We checked out of room around 1045am and headed to the monte Carlo stores to find a little something for the kids. We next grabbed a quick bite at the Pub (decent like a mix between a chilis and a Bj's Brewhouse), did some last minute gambling and headed to airport in prearranged limo.

The flight home was something else for a few reasons. windy and cloudy today both in Vegas and Burbank (Los Angeles) and we flew a full southwest flight. Super rocky turbulent flight but the kicker was the 20 something year old at window seat next to my wife that spent the 1 hour flight pulling eyebrow hairs, back hairs and low bak hairs out one by one and looking at them. Needless to say my wife basically slid all the way over almost into my aisle seat and we ran off the plane when we could get off. I didn't say anything to the guy as I thought maybe it was like a nervous habit or something.

Cool report. I also did not know much about hotel 32. Sounds like you guys had a blast.
