Don't bother wasting your time or your money at this place. I am a long time local and tried this place for the first time since they reopened under the "original owners" after they reopened what was once the Wild Mile deli.
Many friends have told me that while the food is edible the service here is nothing short of atrocious and that the owner Hans is consistently rude and unprofessional towards customers, tourist and locals alike.
My wife and I decided to give it a try and sure enough the local resident consensus was spot on.
Lowlights:
- rude greeting several minutes after we arrived
- I ordered a stella artois and was brought a spaten (twice)
- ordered food and two side salads, my sandwich arrived 35 minutes later (they were nowhere near 1/4 capacity) with no side salads yet, my wife did not have her sandwhich.
- the table that was seated 10 minutes after ours got their food.
- I cancelled the side salads since they were not even made yet
- owner came out several minutes after we cancelled the salads (which we expected as appetizers) and asked my wife if she "still wanted her sandwich"(?!)
- even though my first beer was empty for almost 10 minutes and he looked at it I had to flag him down to order another beer (which of course he again broought me a SPaten instead of a Stella
- I finished my sandwich, 15 minutes later my wife got her sandwich
- group of 4 ladies (tourists) who were there before us began complaining about how they hadn't been served their food yet! They had to hjave been there at least an hour or more.
- saw two other tables walk out verbally complaining about service, etc.
Highlights:
