For a campus tradition and good Mexican food I'd say El Azteco. It is very casual.

Old Chicago Pizza in Okemos is good and family-friendly.

Destination Expert   What's this?
for Charlevoix, Michigan

You are staying at the hotel that is adjacent to the University Club on the south side of Campus near the gold courses. There isn't anything walkable from that location but there are some good choices a short drive away.

Love the idea of El Azteco! It is a true MSU institution. If the weather is nice, get a table on the roof!

Harrison Roadhouse is at the corner of Harrison Road and Michigan Avenue. Good, casual choice.

My family also enjoys Pizza Kitchen on Hagadorn Road. Good pastas and pizzas and able to take bigger parties.

Beggars Banquet, another MSU tradition on Abbott Road right before the entrance to campus.

There are many choices along Grand River Avenue downtown that would probably work as well. Have a great time! Moms

El Azteco is a good choice, or Pizza House (not pizza kitchen) that another poster recommended.

The Gallery at Snyder Phillips is one of the newly renovated dining halls on the campus of MSU and is open to the public. For $9 a person everyone can do the all you care to eat dining selection. For menus go to eatatstate.com

I would also recommend Pizza House. Their website is www.pizzahouse.com
