Ok, my husband, daughter and myself went to this place for breakfast Sunday morning and I am still talking about how good it was.
It's off the beaten path and luckily we were following our daughter with her GPS on. Pull up and park on the street and there are probably about 15 people waiting outside to get a table. I went in and asked about being put on the list for a table. Well a very pleasant guy tells me there is no list just wait till the people that were here in front of you to go in, then it's your turn. Also, help yourself to coffee while you wait. There are some tables and chairs outside for while you are waiting.
So you just wait for a group to come out and then the next party with that many people in their group goes in. We actually got in ahead of people that were already there because we only had 3 people and they were waiting for a table of 4 or 5.
Now that may turn some people off but I just think it adds to the atmosphere.
Once we got in the waitstaff was great. Very friendly. Took our order and we were sitting at the counter so we were able to watch the chefs cook all the orders. Everything is very fresh. And there are alot of unusual dishes in addition to the regular eggs, meat and potatoes.
Our meals were wonderful. I had an amazing omelette with organic tomatoes, onion, basil and I can't remember the rest. Husbands breakfast burrito was great as was the Biscuits and Gravy that our daughter had. Took home leftovers.
I think if you are in the Lansing area you need to try this place at least once, if only for the experience.
One note... they take cash only.
ENJOY!
