Finding a nice hotel on a football weekend??

Traveling to Lansing area for a wedding October 24th which is also a home football game for the Spartans. Top hotels listed on tripadvisor are sold out.

Any suggestions?? Wedding is in Grand Ledge with the reception at Eagle Park Fairgrounds.

That's a tough one if the hotels in Lansing are sold out that week. I believe they are playing Iowa that week and Iowa always brings a lot of fans. They usually leave disappointed...

I'm assuming you checked the Residence Inn, Hampton Inn, and Quality Suites on the West side of town and they are sold out.

My recommendation would be to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Charlotte. Charlotte is about a 15 minute drive south of Grand Ledge and the hotel is located off I-69. I checked the hotel's website and they still have rooms available for about $90 on the night of the 24th.

If you are traveling from Charlotte to Grand Ledge, get off at the M-100 exit (for Grand Ledge), off of I-69. Don't take I-69 to I-96 and get off at M-43. The M-100 shortcut will save you 5 to 10 minutes off your drive.

If you don't like that, you will probably have to stay in Battle Creek or Grand Rapids for anything decent.

Best of luck. Hope the weather holds out for the wedding. The weather can be a mixed bag by late October.

Thanks for the info. I ended up booking the Comfort Inn & Suites in Dimondale.
