Just back from a week in Maine.
Based our stay in Belfast and loved it. Stayed at the Belfast Harbor Inn - room with a view $89 per night. Breakfast wasn't anything to write home about but the coffee was good. Dogs welcomed.
Really enjoyed Weavers Bakery. Opens at 4AM for you early risers. Try the cinnamon things or the doughnuts. Good cheap breakfasts too. Same great coffee as the hotel. Nice guy Mike is the owner.
Down the road in Searsport we ate 2 very good meals at Anglers. We cruised the parking lot and every car was from Maine. Did not disappoint. Great fried local seafood and onion rings.
Youngs Lobster Pound was out of this world. BYOB. Lobster and steamed clams for $24. Wife loved the crab sandwich.
Very nice vegetable stand opposite the big billboard as you enter Searsport.
