Places to stay and eat and have fun!

Hello! My wife and I are going to KC for a Chiefs game in December. Any ideas on an area or hotel that would be best to stay at for good food and fun. We won't have a car so we will take a shuttle to the game..... we LOVE to eat and can't wait to get some serious food in KC so all ideas are very helpful. THANKS!

You will probably get more replies on the Missouri forum, but I think that the COuntry Club Plaza or Crown Center would be good locations for you to look at with those interests.

Any idea where you are starting a shuttle from? Without a car I would say Counrty Club Plaza area or Power and Light District. Plaza would be great because of the Christmas lights, but I would make reservations early.

Well just booked a stay at the Hyatt downtown. What do ya think? Good place to stay near food and fun? I had to take the plunge on priceline and it was super cheap. Chiefs game on that Sunday. Any advice on when to head out for tailgating?

The Hyatt is a good hotel and has two good upscale restaurants. All of the Crown Center & Union Station restaurants, shops, museums and theatres are within walking distance without going outdoors.

Skies at the Hyatt is a great place for drinks.

Between the hotel, Crown Center, Union Station and the Freighthouse District you have lots of choices for food and fun.

Plan on leaving for the game by 8:30 or 9:00 if you are tailgating.

Awesome! super excited thanks for the good advice. I lived in St. Joseph when I was a kid - my Mom is from there... finally going back as a huge Chiefs fan ready for my first live game.
