Orlando Forum: Should be visit Universal and Sea World Late June??

I agree with Partypa; if you can wait until November, I would do so.

November means much more pleasant and comfortable weather and much smaller crowds, not to mention, Xmas decorations will start to go up then as well.

@Kat_Cub_fan we are planning to leave our home October 31, so we will be there November 1 to 5 and back 6th. That would be sufficient right?

For both Universal parks and Seaworld, your shorter schedule would be perfectly fine. You'll get lower crowds in Nov. as well as less heat. However if I had a choice betwen a longer or shorter stay...I'd go for longer (even with crowds). The November weather in Orlando is normally like D.C.'s June and June / July in Orlando are normally like your July or a bit hotter (that's normal temps not high or low). I suppose much depends on the level of heat you're willing to tolerate and crowds of course. When we visit Universal we love the water rides and it's a sure bet of drying quickly in June...but that's just my opinion. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful trip either month.

WE will be traveling with our granddaughter. She won't be a year in June but will be a year and few months in November. I am not sure how she will take the extreme heat. That is something to consider.

Is Universal and Sea World close to each other? Because of the age of my granddaughter I am considering November due to the heat and crowds. She is not a year old by July, so it would be better if she is a bit bigger. Any hotel suggestions or place to stay that is young children friendly?

Will our 11 month granddaughter enjoy the water park of Sea World or is she too young? We will purchase this: 2012 Super Grover Season Pass, enjoy unlimited admission to Sesame Place, SeaWorld (FL, TX, CA), Busch Gardens (FL, VA), Aquatica (FL, TX), Water Country USA (VA) and Adventure Island (FL) parks during their regular 2012.

Is it worth doing the June travel and seeing as many parks as we can. Where is Adventure Island?

Universal and Seaworld are about 10 or 15 minutes from each other.

Adventure Island is in Tampa where Busch is located. Both are 90 minutes from Orlando.

We've not visited water parks with baby, but I'm sure someone on the forum will have an answer for you.
