I am so excited I'm about to burst.
Some of you may remember from my trip reports last year that OH was adamant we would not be going back this year as he wants to do something different. Well, we're going back!
After weeks/months of telling him how bored I'd be on a beach/pool holiday, I have finally managed to convince him. I am so happy. I think what finally won it was when I spoke from the heart and told him exactly how Florida makes me feel. I work very hard; 50 odd hours a week plus 15+ hours a week on trains and smelly London underground, and how I want to spend my hard earned cash going somewhere that makes me more happy than anywhere else. He did understand in the end.
Once the decision was made on Saturday, it has been interesting to watch his excitement build just over the course of the last 24 hours. Old Florida photographs have been looked at; last year's Brit Guide to Orlando book has been dug out; Youtube clips watched. He has even invited his 16 year old nephew, who has never been, to come along. I knew he loved it really!
I can't wait to start planning, starting today with the actual booking. I'm thinking of the Homewood Suites - does anyone have any opinion on the Homewood?
