 Christmas in Orlando

We really want to go to Orlando for Christmas, the reviews are mixed, some say crowds are so big, others say not to be missed?? Is the week before Christmas any better then the week between christmas and new year? Is seaworld or universal less busy? Is it the main days like Christmas day, new years eve/day, boxing day that are busy, what's about the in between days?

Its ultra busy from the weekend before christmas until after the new year. Some days the parks are so crowded they have to close the gates and people are not allowed in, although they often re-open later in the day when enough people leave. Seaworld is less busy but still crowded universal and legoland are both busy too.

It's been a while but we went over Christmas in 2006. We went from Dec. 21-29. The week leading up to Christmas was not very busy at all and there weren't long lines at the parks. The week between Christmas and New Years got much busier. We used fast passes at the Disney Parks during that time. We only visited Disney so I don't know if the other parks are less busy.

We were there from 22 Dec / 4 Jan and it was very busy especially the week between the christmas & New year.

We stayed on site at the HRH for our visits to Universal and the fast pass made all the difference to the time spent in lines.

All the parks will be busy we avoided going to them on christmas day, boxing day and New years eve night.

The parks do look lovely decorated but the xmas of 2010/2011 was very cold and this didn't make for an enjoyable time as we don't do cold, much prefer warmer weather.

Well its both-very crowded and not to be missed. the parks are wall to wall people from around Dec.21 or 22 until Jan.2 -all the parks. If you go early, leave at midday and come back at night, its manageable. the decorations and special parades are wonderful but you won't get on many rides and have to make all your reservations well in advance. We have gone at Christmas sometimes and skipped the parks;just checked out the decorations and shopped and relaxed

If you can go the Week Before, that would be a Tad better

Have a Plan, get to the Parks super early and bring a Smile :)

Are you wanting to be there for Christmas day or simply at Christmas time? if Christmas time in general works for you...try the first 2 weeks of December (if your schedule permits). Crowds aren't so bad yet, all the decorations are up and you can attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

Agree with above its an absolute nightmare but not to be missed the parks look great but the lines are a joke over 2 hours for its a small world.

But with a bit of planning im sure you will be fine i do recomemd doing Disney at xmas but just bare in mind you will have to wait for rides.

Just to add i flew out on the 25th of dec for 2 weeks.

I would 100% want to go at Christmas and I cant wait for it to happen one year....

Yes the crowds will be HUGE and the weather will be cooler but I think it will all be well worth it.
