NPR and SH are mostly residential areas. They are not very toursity in nature. No big beaches nearby. There is alot of golf there, and they are areas with alot of retirees.
Depends what you are looking for. If looking mainly just for golf, they could be OK areas. If looking for a beach vacation, with some golf nearby, look further South at Clearwater Beach, or St. Pete Beach/Treasure Island.
