“ Shopping and Eating in Fort Lauderdale ”

Hi. We know the Gulf coast well but have decided to go East this year to Fort Lauderdale. We're staying at the Ritz Carlton and wanted to get an idea about how far away the main shopping and Restaurant areas are from our Hotel. We know that FL will be quieter than Miami, but not if there are the larger Malls or Restaurant zones that we have found in Tampa / Orlando.

We have found a Capitol Grill and Cheesecake Factory, which is a good start!

But any advice regarding our location and proximity to recommended areas would be much appreciated.

You will be about 1.5 miles to the Las Olas restaurant and shopping area , where the Cheesecake Factory is located , and about 2 miles to the Galleria Mall , where the Capitol Grill is . At the Galleria , besides the Capitol Grill you have P F Changs and a great food court . On Las Olas , besides the Cheesecake Factory you have Johnny V's , Timpanos , Noodles Panini , and numerous others . Have fun !
