Headed to Steamboat Springs for our honeymoon in early October. My fiance doesn't "do" beaches so we compromised and decided a mountain honeymoon would be fun. My aunt graciously gave us a 5 day stay with her timeshare (Wyndham) so fortunately we only have to pay for our travel expenses and whatever activities we choose to do. I know October is not part of ski season, so we were wondering what other fun things we could do. Also, flights seem to be much cheaper to Denver than the local airport but the 3 hour drive seems excessive, especially since we only have 5 days. Is it better to just pay the extra and fly into Hayden? We are hoping we can still have the "honeymoon" experience even though we aren't getting the all inclusiveness that comes with a typical beach honeymoon. Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated!
