The fellow who talks to you will be very friendly. The vacation club sales person will tell you about all the money you will be saving and forget to mention about mandatory all-inclusive fees when you stay at their nicest resorts. The hotels are a different entity from the vacation club but kick back some money in return for the mandatory all-inclusive additional fees in contract.
This means that member (family of four with older children) must pay an addional $4000.00 plus dollars for food and drink to stay in Royal Hideaway for a week, $4000.00 plus dollars to stay in Royal Club at Grand Xcaret for a week, and over $3000.00 to stay in Grand Aruba for a week. This can be more than a non-member pays for the same week that includes the all-inclusive feature.
A non-member has the option of purchasing the all inclusive feature, for a member it is mandatory.
