It would be easy to contact travel agent so that you will face no problem in documentation and other formalities.Yes you have to contact travel agent for hotels and vehicle hire.

As an Indian you don't have to go through a local agent, but it will be a lot easier if you ask an agent to book everything for you. He can also give you suggestions for your trip. If you look at the trip reports in the top questions, at the right upper part of our main page, you'll see many recommendations. You can mail some, and ask your questions. Good luck.

Depends how many days do you want to go for and which places. If you go beyond Paro and Thimpu there are permits required which a travel agent can handle easily.

There are travel agents in India as well who can do everything for you including air tickets.

It works out much cheaper and all tours are personalised and not group.
