“ Altmünster ”

Hi everyone,

my friends and I are going to spend couple of days in Altmünster. We have little ideas about Grünberg and Laudachsee, Ebensee and Feuerkogel and visit Gmunden at the last too.We would like to try hiking , in-line skating and cycling there.Please if you have some recommendation, just let me know. Thank you very much in advance :o)

You pick a nice place by the lake in my opinion.

If you have not already reviewed this site - have a look-

good info on the region.

The lake offers good free beach areas- lake sports from diving, sailing, etc.

Easy to bike completely around the lake maybe even stopping at some places for a swim or some food and drink.

Numerous hiking trails. The local tourist office must have maps and can assist with trails to fit needs.

This area close to the Wolfgangsee also.

We enjoyed Traunkirchen, one stop down the lake by train or boat. There are several places to eat.

Gmunden has a market once a week. Lovely bells in the market square. There is a ceramic ciompany that you can visit. A nice town not touristy at all. Try the tram ride up to the rail station.
