I will be visiting Ireland in May of 2011 with a friend. On one of the days, we will be driving from Laragh, County Wicklow to Kenmare. One of our planned stops on that day is the Rock of Cashel (which I have seen, but my friend has not).
I understand that the RoC has been significantly shrouded as part of the restoration/protection work there and that this shrouding will last for several years.
My question is how much does this shrouding interfere with the enjoyment and views of the site? If it were just me, I would probably skip it having visiting before. But for my friend, this is probably a once in a lifetime trip.
Any thoughts?
