Sandown Forum: Royal Pier Hotel, Sandown.

First of all we on the (forum) have not made these hotel comments. However people who do stay at hotels have the right to post their experiences. Although I know where the hotel is I have not stayed there myself so I have no personal motives. What you have to remember is that a hotel unless really modern, does not contain the same rooms. Some will be on a main road; some will be bigger/smaller than other etc. Some may have been updated whilst others not, if you get the drift. Staff change some are polite whilst others can be rude.

When looking on these reviews to select your hotel you look at the broader picture discounting the best and the worse and you will have a good idea whether it will suit you. We are all different and I’m sure my pick would not be yours.

You cannot say that these people have not experienced what they have written as you were not there.

I can tell you that the hotel that I sometimes stay in, will give small rooms over the high st to coach parties unless they have paid for a sea view.

I have read the majority of the reviews about the Royal Pier and some of the points seem quite clear. I noticed that in the last month there seems to be some improvement so perhaps the hotel have had a review of themselves.
