“ Larnaca to Girne-please help :) ”

Hi,
I will be traveling from LAX to Girne, N.Cyprus on May 1st. Flights are extremely less expensive if I fly to Larnaca then Ercan. Is it common to fly to Larnaca and travel via car hire across the border and to North Cyprus? If yes, the can anyone recommend a reliable car hire to drive me across the border and to Girne for a resaonable price? I am female and will be traveling alone until I meet friends in Girne, I would just like to be cautious. Thank you so much! :)
