“ Apartment rental for one month in Lisbon - where to look? ”

Hi

We are in Cascais now and looking for our next rental. I am thinking of staying in Lisbon for a month.

I've been looking online on the short term rental sites and haven't found anything cheaper than 1000 euros for 30 days.

I did find a nice looking place in Sao Vicente de Fora for 950 Euros. It is a 2 bedroom apartment with some rooms having views of the Tagus River.

4 questions:

1) is Sao Vicente de Fora a nice area?

2) is 950 Euros the best I will get for a short term rental?

3) Should I negotiate down to 850 Euros?

4) Any suggestions on which websites I should be looking?

If you're already been at São Vicente you've seen that it's an old neighborhood and that a bi-weekly flea market happens in the area.

With the actual crisis I would definitely negotiated down and maybe even try a more conventional agency like ERA or REMAX.

1000 euros per week! You're kidding. We are currently in a beautiful apartment

in Olaias, 1 block from from the metro and across the street from the supermarket. We are paying less than 1000 euros for 1 month. See www.homelidays.com listing 249270

Thanks. We ended up booking the 2T apartment for 910 euros for the month. So it works out for about 212 p/ week which isn't too bad!

Thanks for the site anyway.
