“ Question Regarding Timetable from Lisbon to Sintra ”

Hello,
I'm looking at the PDF schedule of trips from Lisbon to Sintra (and vice versa), and my question is- at the bottom, can someone explain what it means with the morning, afternoon, and night departures, and the first and last departures?
Here's the schedule:

Depending on what day I go to visit Sintra, I may have to be back in Lisbon by 18:00 to catch a train to Faro.
