“ Shops open on Monday, 2 January? ”

Good day to all.
Just discovered I will need to be in Antwerp on Monday, 2 January. I won't have much time for shopping, but I'd like to do a little if possible.
My question is: is this day still considered part of the local holidays? Will smaller shops be open normal business hours or will I likely find most still shut?
I've been to Antwerp several times before, and know the general layout of the city, but never on a Monday or so near a holiday.
