“ & day trip to Amsterdam in May ”

I'm thinking about spending 7 days in Amsterdam in May. Would this be enough time to take in all the sites around the city?

Also what i the going rate for expenses like the following?

-Pint of beer

-An average meal (middle of the range)

From Swansea its not that great of a journey to Amsterdam, so I would suggest maybe 3-4 days for your first trip; this would enable you to see all the main sites - in case you dont like it, and to get a feel for the place, to plan to come back for the things you find you have missed.

Prices Ron quotes are about right, Amsterdam is not a cheap city by any means - but then again, neither is the London tourist zones either.
