Amsterdam Forum: hampshire hotel in the theatre district

I can't bloody keep up with these hotels. This one has now changed its name three times in as many years. So it seems that all the Eden hotels in Amsterdam are now either Hampshire or Hampshire Eden. the Mint hotel only opened about two months and changed to the Hilton Doubetree!!

Anyway perryScotland I think Erik answered your question, vague as it was. By the way there is not Theatre District in Amsterdam this hotel made that name up, why I don't know. It's really Leidseplein area but if you had looked at the hotel website you could have seen that.

Thank you Erik for your reply. We know that area, so we will know where we are going. Thank you too, Ronald, but there a few Hampshire Hotels and this one was described as in the Theatre District.

well, i guess boom chicage is a theater..and there is a movie theater around the corner from leidseplein..so technically they arent lying.

And there's the Nieuwe de la Mar theatre, too. And Stadsschouwburg translates as 'city theater' and is the main place for drama performance. So if there is a theater district at all, it's Leidseplein...

Does anyone know if there is a hairdryer in every room? Some booking sites state this and others don't.
