 Dutch bulbfields and Floriade

We would like to combine a 4-5 day trip to Amsterdam, also taking in Keukenhof Gardens and the local bulbfields, with Floriade Garden Exhibition (starts April 5th and runs through to Oct) Wondering how I can find out what the peak bulbfield flowering time is expected to be this year (I gather it varies depending on the weather over the winter) in order to time this visit to best advantage.

Best guess is that it will be the last two weeks of April but nothing will be certain until the blooms start coming out in March.

Thanks, that is helpful, and second half of April would suit our plans, but we will probably need to book before March. Is there a website we can consult, similar to the 'Leaf-peeping' websites that update on the state of the Fall foliage in New England?

The best website is probably here. One of our fraternity, Nina, lives close to the K'hof and posts updates on a regular basis. Even she can offer no insight at present as the ground is frozen solid.

Thanks again - I think we will just have to go for it - book for mid-late April and hope for the best - I'm sure there will still be plenty to see! Will keep looking out for Nina's posts though.

Still snow here :-) I expect that the snow will be gone next weekend, I will have a look and report back.

Any updates yet on this? We are looking at flying over from Seattle end of April. The weekend of the parade looks like it is a zoo and out of our price range for lodging though. Thanks much!

Have you been able to evaluate the blooming of the tulips yet? We are coming over in mid April and are really anxious. Thanks

I'm anxious for your first post Nina. You must have some photos of crocies or snow drops by now.
