“ 1 day trip from Zurich to St. Gallen ”

I am planning to spend 1 day from Zurich to St. Gallen. But it seems to be to early to return to Zurich after visiting there. Is there are attractions/ places to visit before returning to Zurich in the evening?

From St,Gallen you could visit Lake of Konstanz
