has anyone gone hunting for seaglass off the shores of Murano or Venice - any suggestions-have seen pictures on sights but am an avid seaglass hunter and would like to look for myself

Venice and Murano do not have shores, although there are places in and on the lagoon that do. I would think the likelihood of finding Murano glass is small: people who make it melt down broken pieces, people who use it don't discard them into the lagoon.
As zerlina said virtually impossible as most is re melted down. The factories might give you small off cuts ( like mosaic bits) but then again they might charge !
We have found very occasional small bits of seaglass on the Lido beaches but v. unlikely to be Murano
