“ Santa Lucia in Bergamo ”

Hi,

We'll be in Bergamo from 11th to 14th December.

We want to spend one day in Milan, and wondered if it would be best to go on the Monday so that we can be in Bergamo on the 13th, the feast of Santa Lucia. Do the shops stay open, and will there be much to see in the way of festivities?

Hi!

Santa Lucia's Market in Bergamo is from 10th - 12th December, along the Sentierone whereas the Christmas Market is already open and ends on the 24th December in Piazzale degli Alpini.

I don't know if there'll be something else going on but should there be, it'll be in Bergamo because Santa Lucia is not so important in Milan.

Shops will be open. They'll also be open on Sunday, both in Bergamo and in Milan, because the Christmas openings have already started. They may be closed on Monday morning.
