we´re off to fuerte next week. wondering if there are any good delis on the island. always use ropers (great) on lanza...anything similar on fuerteventura? we´ll be staying in caleta, but no problems with driving wherever necessary. any good bakeries that make REAL bread...best would be german, swiss or austrian i guess. thx in advance for any help on this.

There is a German bakery in Corralejo - quite a long way to drive for a loaf though!

If you are prepared to drive to Corralejo there is also a lovely French bakery in El Cotillo.
Either way I'm not sure how you will stock up, surely it will be dry and hard the next day.

hhaaa...french bakery AND german bakery...better and better. we´ve rented a villa with freezer so there´ll be no probs with storage thx so v v much for the tip!
La Dulce Leche in Caleta is great for pastry and cakes ,its just at the round about as you come in from the Airport Rd ,its well worth a look and a tase.!!!!!

have to agree La Dulce for there sandwiches bread and cakes we normally go there everyday for a sandwich ...also does chicken and chips take way
