My husband and I really enjoy driving some in Europe because we feel like you are able to see more of the "locals" towns and not so much head right to the big tourist sights. We would rather see beautiful country and feel the culture than spend a day in a museum. In our 10 day trip to spain in early March we were planning to fly into Madrid(stay one night), take a train onto Seville(stay two nights), a train onto Grenada(two nights), do a day of skiing in Sierra Nevade, than rent a car and drive through Valencia (stop for one night) and onto Barcelona(two nights).I have heard through some forums that most people suggest to fly as the drive isnt that great from Grenada to Barcelona. Does anyone have differing opinions? Is there any quaint towns to see along the way? Would maybe a drive from Madrid to Grenada be more of an experience, than just take a flight from Granada to Barcelona? Or skip the driving all together? Any advice would be appreciated, also please feel free to comment on our whole itinerary as nothing has been booked yet and we are flexible to change it!
Thanks
