 Hammam attire

I like the Finnish sauna, shvitz and Russian platza. But I have never been to a hammam. What do men ware there? Skimpy speedos or roomy swimming trunks?

I wonder, what do most locals wear? I don’t want to look too much like a Yankee.

We have also been to the hammams in Sevilla and Madrid.
