We flew nonstop MSP to CDG on Delta. I was fortunate to get two business class tickets for 100,000 miles each. This seemed as quite a bargain as paid tickets were in the 11,000 dollar range. I think even 4,000 would have been overpriced for those rather uncomfortable business class seats, but using points (and the minimum) made the trip okay...although, we did experience lots of turbulence throughout the flight. I've heard that Delta doesn't use the navigation systems that NWA did; thus, Delta flights have seemed VERY rough. (not a big fan of Delta). Anyway, we arrived at 7:30 a.m. (ahead of schedule, but we had to wait an hour for our luggage. We made our way from 2E to the RER ticket location easily. I didn't follow advice on here to bring picture with for our Navigo Decouverte pass, so we shelled out five Euros each for the photo needed for the pass. The booth is right outside the ticket center. Use ticket counter 1, 2, or 3 to purchase the pass. We purchased the passes and made our way to track 11 for the express RER 6 (B) into Paris. It took about 45 minutes to our stop Denfert Rocherau. We walked about ten minutes down St. Jacques to our hotel (Marriott Rive Gauche). Check in was a snap, we were given access to the executive lounge, and took a two hour power nap in our room. We showered and were ready to hit the town. Coming next my thoughts on the benefits of traveling on a pass like we did, touring the Pantheon area, restaurant choices, etc. Bon nuit!
