Your goals are reasonable. However, you need to take closing days into consideration. Versailles and the Louvre are closed one day a week (can't recall which) but it looks like you are there on a Monday.

Also, the Louvre is open late on Friday night which might be an option if you catch a nap during your arrival day.

Finally, July 14th is Bastille Day. I don't know how this impacts tourism stuff but I can't imagine there would be no impact so consider that also.

Once you take the constraints of Monday closings into account, your itinerary might well organize itself.

Louvre is closed on Tuesdays, Versailles on Mondays. Louvre is open late (til 9:45) on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Is the Louvre or Place Versaille open on Sundays?

Yes, both are open on Sundays (you may need to pay extra at Versailles if they have a 'fountain show' on on the Sunday, though), just closed on the days mentioned above (Mon/Tues)

Just booked our hotel and I am really excited!

I am palnning on getting the hop on hop off 2 day pass for Sunday and Monday.... what I need to now is because its Bastille day on Saturday the 14th, will the Versaille be open??...Upon researching, there was no indication that it would be closed, since Im buying everything from here I need to be sure!!
