Dublin Forum: Buy scdw with Sceptre or Dan Dooley?

We didn't ask them to rent a car it just comes with the package of lodging, breakfast and car. Otherwise I would definately go to the car rental company directly. With that being said I'd hate to waste the car rental, has anyone used Sceptre with the scdw?

I would ask Dan Dooley directly. Just tell them you're having the car included as a package but want to get a handle on any extra potential costs and ask if they can provide any suggestions.

SDW seemed to run about 12 euros a day from the places I saw it listed separately, so maybe $110 for your trip. Does it not include ANY insurance at all? SDW is in addition to CDW. So if it doesn't include anything at all, $178 might be similar to what you would otherwise pay.

i agree...contact dooley via email and tell them about your "car deal" with sceptre....have your agreement from them in front of you so you can tell dooley exactly what secptre says is/isn't included.....as the other poster stated there are several insurances you have to have other than super cdw....

also, there is the chance, a very good chance, that if sceptre provides an outside insurance company, there will be a large hold put on your credit card until the car is returned undamaged.....

Thank you ringmaster and oma14 for the great feedback. I will email Dooley's right away and let you know what I found out. Without your help I would probably have thought that I had full insurance with the scdw.
