“ london to Ireland ”

I will be leaving London on the 13 on my way to Edinburgh for the 14.

Would i be able to go by rail into Ireland then on to Edinburgh for the 14?

Yes, feasible, just curious of OP's logic of an 8 hour rail-water journey to then turn around and leave next day. But none of my business I suppose.

Oh dear!!

lolly: I don't think the OP will understand your post so I will try and explain.

Debra: See lolly's post. Those green things are islands. The longer island on the right is England/Scotland/Wales. The roundish island on the left is Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

London is in England toward the bottom of the longish island. Edinburgh is in Scotland toward the top of the longish island. So it really wouldn't be advisable to take the train/ferry from London to Ireland to Edinburgh.

Rail and Sail London to Dublin, get the bus to Belfast and Sail and Rail to Edinburgh. Unfortunately you wont have time to see or do much.
