There will be 3 of us going from the airport to the Westin in Dublin. We will have a folding wheelchair for one person. Wondering what we should figure, roughly for a taxi? Thanks for any help. Happy Traveling

Between €25 - €30 I think.
Thanks so much for your quick reply. Helps to have an idea. We are looking forward to seeing Dublin in Mid April. Happy Traveling
for every additional adult there is a 1 euro charge. There are no additional costs for bags, nor should there be for a wheelchair.
The actual cost will depend on the route you take from the airport and the amount of traffic there is.
I would make sure you have fifty euros in your pocket for the fare. It won't cost this much, but it could be closer to 40 euros or slightly over if there's heavy traffic. 25 euros would be a clear run from the airport to town with one passager.
Hi,
Sorry for jumping onto this thread, anybody know if there are taxis at the airport taxi rank that will take 6 adults, or will we have to get 2 cabs?
Regards

`There are vans available, if there is not one waiting in the rank for you the guy at the front of the line will radio down and get one sent up. You may have to wait a few minutes, but it'll turn up.
Again, with six adults you'll have five euros put on the taxi as an extra. No other extra's should apply from the airport (but if you have any tolls or use the tunnel to get into town those will also be added).
ok, cheers for that.

Have also jumped onto this thread as my hubby & I will be flying in on a friday around midday. Is this a busy period, traffic wise? Do you normally tip taxi drivers & if so how much?
We are staying in Lower Stephens St, Dublin. Would cost be about the same?
Friday early afternoon can be fairly busy but not exceptionally so. Lower Stephens Street is south city centre, so I'd allow about €30 - €35. Tipping is not quasi-mandatory as in the US and IMHO depends on the driver. If he or she is helpful and friendly, I'd suggest about 10% i.e. €3 or so, though many people would simply round up the fare to a multiple of €5 - if your fare is say €32, I'd pay €35..
Thanks for your help
