 Must see's/do's??

Hi Everyone,

I'm going to be in Newquay the week after next and as such i'm not planning on great weather!

In that vein what are your "best bits" of the place whatever the weather!?

Any ideas much appreciated - it's my first visit!

Thanks in advance!

Hi, Newquay has some amazing beaches, so walking along them is a must especially on a "wild" day It's a great feeling!! The Headland hotel do Storm watching lunches.....great for a good meal and watching the waves roll up. If your lucky with the weather a trip to Padstow is worth the drive to, you can go along the camel trail (disused railway line which runs along the Camel estury) choice of walking or hire cycles :-) Rick Stein fish and chips followed by Kellys icecream is a must! Hope some of this is of help. C

Newquay is great and on a wild day some of the ocean scenery is breathtaking. Last time i was there we got caught in a bit of a storm up on the headland at Porth...quite near Newquay. after taking some amazing photos we battled the wind and rain back to a little tappas bar across from Porth beach and dried out with a few jugs of Sangria and some very good food. Great part of the world you will love it no matter what the weather does.Agree with last post the trip tp Padstow is great. We lunched at Ricks seafood restaurant one wet old day and the food was magic...

Probably too late for you now as we have just returned from camping here and, there in Cornwall. For the future.Sennen Cove just before Lands End.Spectacular scenery, especially the sunset.

Lots of surfers and,a fantastic beach.Walk along the front to the old part where there are a few fishing boats, gallery, cafes.

Farmers Market in the community centre just before the beach turning.Every Tuesday.

even subtle advertising isn't allowed on TA. And yours isn't all that subtle
