Hope someone comes along who has been to tell the full story
Just a point to be aware of - Perran View is not actually in Newquay, it is at Trevelllas, mid way between Perranporth and St Agnes, about 9 miles away from Newquay.
We stayed there, admittedly a few years, would not recommend it at all, it is about 3 miles out of Perranporth in the middle of nowhere.
You park your car in a huge carpark and walk over to the accomadation which is a selection of 2 and 3 bed houses and bungalows, most of them are a grey concrete colour.
Our 2 bed house, whilst clean, had a musty smell that we thought was because the place had never been aired.
The shop was very expensive and did not stock a lot, bar was dear too and the pool was hardly ever open, I had to ask if there was a lifeguard available so that i could have a swim.
If you want to have to drive all the time into Perranporth and pay to park and not be in walking distance of a beach or pub then its ok, if like my husband, you don't go on holiday for a week to drive everywhere, then look elsewhere.
Yeah this holiday park is amazing. i went there last year with my family and it was outstanding. The villa's are very nicely laid out and very roomy.
I would deffinatly recommend this to you ;)
It isnt 9miles to newquay...
its less then that...about 5miles. takes about 5mins to get to Newquay
Lolliepop1998 - I wish it did take 5 minutes to get from Trevellas to Newquay, that would mean it would take 1 minute to get from Perranporth to Newquay and this would highly delight me as Newquay is where I shop each week, however, unfortunately, as I have said it is around 9 miles from Trevellas to Newquay but it does take around 5 minutes to get from Trevellas to Perranporth so perhaps that is what you are thinking of?
Edited: 24 April 2011, 7:49I agree with coxi, I'm afraid, she is absolutely right.
According to the AA Route Planner, the distance between Trevellas and Newquay is 10.8 miles, a 27-minute journey.
(I *LOVE* the Route Planner! :-))
